Our very special guest: The Hon. Peter Kent PC MP
First elected as the Conservative MP for Thornhill in 2008 and re-elected in 2011 and 2015 by wide margins, Peter is a former Conservative Environment Minister and, currently, the Official Opposition’s Shadow Minister for Ethics.
A well-known reporter, anchor, cameraman and Deputy Editor of Global Television News, Peter reported here at home and from global hot spots -- including Viet Nam, the Middle East, South Africa and Moscow for CBC, CTV, and NBC -- through four decades. He hosted CBC’s The National from 1976-78.
He is a husband, father, proud former Navy Cadet and Canadian Army Reservist and, more recently, a cancer survivor.
