you learn more about the Oshawa federal Conservative association, our
candidate and
Member of Parliament Colin Carrie. Supported by a
dedicated group of volunteers and an energetic Board of Directors, I invite you to
do your part to Keep Oshawa Blue.
Since the Conservative Party was founded in
December 2003, our association has been very
active in and around Oshawa. From January to
June 2004, hundreds of our members worked
tirelessly to elect Colin as Oshawa's first
Conservative MP in almost forty years. From
November 2005 to January 2006, we fought a tough
but spirited campaign to re-elect Colin and a
new Conservative government. Just two years
later, in 2008, we substantially improved our
margin of victory and flattened the local
Liberal candidate, earning 42% support in one of
Canada's tightest ridings.
Each year, our board organizes
a number of volunteer recognition, fundraising and training events aimed at bringing Oshawa's Conservatives closer
together and preparing for the next federal general election. Our membership and
delegates have also played key roles in the development of our
Party's policy
development process and election platforms.
