you learn more about the Oshawa federal Conservative association, our
candidate and Member of Parliament
Colin Carrie. Supported by a
dedicated group of volunteers and a re-energized
Board of Directors, I invite you to get involved and do
your part to Keep Oshawa Blue.Since the Conservative Party
was founded in December 2004, our
association has been very active in and around Oshawa. From December 2003 to June 2004, hundreds of our
members worked tirelessly to elect Colin as Oshawa's first Conservative
MP in almost forty years. From November 2005 to January 2006,
we fought a
tough but spirited campaign to re-elect Colin. We substantially
improved our margin of victory and flattened the local Liberal candidate. In
2008, we helped to successfully re-elect Colin
and widened the Conservative Party's margin of
victory in Oshawa to 42%.
Each year, our board organizes
a number of volunteer recognition, fundraising and training events aimed at bringing Oshawa's Conservatives closer
together and preparing for the next federal general election. Our membership and
delegates have also played key roles in the development of our
Party's policy
development process and election platforms.
